Where’s the Exit button in the new Media Center?

If you’ve read a lot of our tips for Kodi/FTMC, you’ll find one point that’s mentioned often. It’s mentioned often because it’s very important.

Make sure to close Kodi/FTMC properly!

Well, that’s still important. Now that Kodi has been replaced with the EZ Stream Media Center, there’s a change to how to close the Media Center properly.

In the old version of Kodi, you’d click the power button icon in the lower left-hand corner of Kodi.

Then, the exit button would pop up. You’d click that to fully exit the program.

It looked like this.

With the new EZ Stream Media Center. That button no longer exists.

It makes exiting much easier.

All you have to do is click the power button icon in the lower left hand corner of the Media Center.

That’s it!

VERY IMPORTANT! Give the Media Center a minute or two to close properly. It may take some time.

What happens if I don’t exit properly?

Most likely you’ll get a blank screen when you try to open the Media Center.

If that does happen, it’s an easy fix. Simply follow the instructions below.

From the home screen of the box:

  1. Click on the Settings tab.
  2. Click on Apps.
  3. Scroll over and click the “Media Center” app.
  4. Click Force Stop.
  5. Click OK.

That’s it! Go back into the Media Center and you’ll be streaming in no time!

We hope this helps! Happy Streaming!
