Whether you’re a veteran user of Kodi/FTMC, or you’ve just started using it to stream, chances are you’ve heard of Real Debrid.
But what is Real Debrid? How can it help you stream faster and easier?
We’re going to go over a brief explanation as well as a step-by-step guide on how to install the Real Debrid service on your EZ Stream box.
What is Real Debrid?
Real Debrid is a paid service that allows you to access better quality streams from a number of different add-ons. It pulls streams from higher quality servers. Your fee goes to maintaining and paying for those servers, so your download speeds are not limited and uploads are not capped to save space.
The monthly cost for Real-Debrid in Kodi, however, is really cheap – 4 euros ($4.72USD) for 30 days, 9 euros ($10.63USD) for 90 days, or 16 euros ($18.90USD) for 180 days. For less than $20 bucks every six months, you can ensure you’ve got high quality streams. It’s almost a no-brainer.
It’s not required that you use Real Debrid when streaming, but many people find it very valuable.
What’s the benefit?
Have you ever searched for something in Kodi, only to find that there aren’t any HD links? Real Debrid makes those chances of finding no HD streams much less likely.
That means you save time finding quality streams, which leads to more time streaming from awesome links. Everyone loves that.
How Do I Install Real Debrid?
Follow the steps below and you’ll have Real Debrid hooked up in no time.
First, you need to sign up for a Real Debrid account.
Go to https://real-debrid.com/ and click “Sign Up”.
Create a username, password, and choose the email address you want to use on the left hand side of the screen.
Once you’ve created your account you’ll be asked which plan (30, 90, or 180 days) you would like. You’ll select your plan, then enter your payment information.
VERY IMPORTANT: The Real Debrid service is located overseas and usually will take two payment attempts to complete the transaction. The transaction is still very secure, but the payment will almost always not work on the first attempt.
Once you’ve made payment for the service, you’ll need to open the Kodi/FTMC media center.
Once in, you’ll scroll over to the SYSTEM tab.
Then click the “Settings” tab underneath SYSTEM.
Next, click on the “Add-ons” tab on the left hand side of the screen.
Click on the “System” tab.
Click on “Dependencies”.
Scroll down and click “URLResolver”.
Click on “Configure”.
Hover over “Universal Resolvers”.
Scroll down until you see the “Real Debrid” tab.
Click on Priority and change the priority to 90 using the key pad that pops up on the screen. Then click Done.
Now click on “(Re)Authorize My Account”.
This will bring up a screen that looks like the one below. It will show you a link to enter on a browser as well as a code to enter.
VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT exit out of Kodi/FTMC and enter this on your box. Use another device like a laptop or tablet to enter the link and code. You have two minutes to enter the code shown.
Once you’ve enter the code you will get a success message on your laptop or tablet as well as a message in the bottom right hand corner of Kodi/FTMC.
You can also enter this into the Covenant add-on by clicking on the add-on from the Kodi/FTMC home screen.
Click on TOOLS.
Click on SETTINGS: General.
Hover over the “Accounts” tab and scroll down to “Debrid-Service”. Click the link that says URLResolver Settings. It will take you through the settings shown above in the article when you configured the URLResolver settings.
You DO NOT have to do this both ways, but we wanted to show you multiple options.
That’s it! It takes about five minutes and will keep you streaming high quality links for months to come! You’ll see the links provided by the service when streaming, they’ll say Real Debrid next to them.
We hope this helps!
